The candidate for this position will be hands-on in developing, optimizing and applying a variety of analytical MS and LC-MS techniques for glycoprotein and glycan characterization using triple quadrupole, TOF, QTOF, and ion trap mass spectrometers. The individual will design experiments, generate, analyze and interpret data, and prepare technical reports and standard operating procedures. There will be opportunity to publish and present at meetings and conferences. Qualifications: The candidate must have an advanced degree in protein chemistry or biochemistry, with an additional focus on glycoprotein and glycan characterization using mass spectrometry.

  • PhD with 2+ years of industry experience is most highly desired.

Demonstrable hands-on experience with the analysis of glycoproteins and structural characterization of N- and O-linked glycans using mass spectrometry and other applicable analytical techniques is a must. Publications in the area of glycan analysis or protein characterization are highly desirable. GMP experience is a plus.

Other requirements: The candidate must possess excellent writing skills and be highly knowledgeable in the use of standard MS software and other analytical tools. An ability to excel in managing competing priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and lead projects to closure are important attributes for this position, as is the desire to provide industry-leading data quality.
